NetBait Tackle’s Dagger ICAST 2020

NetBait Tackle’s New Dagger Soft Plastics Deliver Better Penetration on Hooksets

D’Iberville, Mississippi. (July 16, 2020) – NetBait is known for the company’s patented PACA technology – from the original PACA Craw and PACA Chunks to hugely popular designs like the PACA Slim. More recently, the company has been listening to feedback from customers and pros alike, wanting to add a flipping and punching bait to their arsenal. They wanted a bait that delivered the same quality and performance of all NetBait soft plastics but, with a “do nothing” action and plenty of vibration for more subtle bait presentations. From this challenge the NetBait Dagger was created.

NetBait’s Dagger design is centered around an innovative, thin flex-wing design for unique gliding action. The flex-wing is integrated with twelve forward facing angled ribs placed to improve water displacement and add subtle vibration to a natural swimming action that fish love. The flex-wing is mounted on a compact body core to easily accommodate even a 4/0 and 5/0 large Texas-rig flippin’ hook while the thin flex-wing compresses quickly to improve penetration on the hookset.

Before unleashing the bait to the masses, NetBait’s team of regional and national pros began testing the Dagger in late 2019 in real tournament situations. Success is the best result of all, and the prototype Dagger performed well resulting in three tournament wins.

“The NetBait team has knocked it out with the Dagger! This is one of the most versatile baits in our lineup. It can be flipped, pitched, punched, and even rigged weightless. It’s a bait you can rig on 3-4 different setups from power to finesse fishing situations.” said Bassmaster 2019 Angler of the Year, Scott Canterbury. “Versatility is the key for anglers and that was a critical factor in the Dagger bait design. Most important in the design is that when the fish bite down, there’s no bulky plastic to get in the way of your hookset.”

The all-new Dagger comes in 10 of the best fish-catching colors in the country and is an amazing value at  $4.29. Available now from Tackle Warehouse and will be available at a fishing tackle retailer near you soon – ask your dealer today for the NetBait Dagger – Proudly made at American Baitworks!
