Pro Charging Systems – Powering Bass Fishing’s Youngest Million Dollar Man into 2026 and Beyond

Professional angler Drew Gill has taken the bass fishing world by storm over the past 24 months, racking up major wins and a record of unbelievable consistency across the country!  Drew was recently crowned Major League Fishing’s “Youngest Bass-Fishing Millionaire”, surpassing the million-dollar mark in winnings in just over 50 events.

Gill has built his reputation on precision, preparation, and zero wasted motion. That mindset extends all the way to his boat’s power system.  He runs long practice days, stacks waypoints, and leans heavily on his electronics. He needed a charger that could keep up with the demands of modern tournament fishing—without babysitting batteries or worrying about overnight performance.

For Drew Gill, Dual Pro isn’t just a charger—it’s part of his tournament system. When every decision matters, he chooses the gear that keeps him fishing at full strength.

We caught up with Gill on a recent trip to Pro Charging Systems, home of Dual Pro Chargers, to learn more about what is powering him in 2026.  Let’s take a look!

Gill’s trolling motor set-up consists of three 12V/300aH Epoch lithium batteries.  TRIPLE the amp hours of your “average” recreational setup.

To replace the amperage it takes to keep Gill powering forward on tour, the team at Pro Charging Systems selected the all-new Sportsman Series High Frequency 3 Bank charger(s).  The new High Frequency Sportsman chargers are smaller, lighter, and more powerful.  They feature dedicated power to each bank with no shared amperage, ensuring each battery is recharged quickly.

Unlike their competitors, the new Dual Pro Sportsman charger output current will not taper, and the user can select between flooded lead-acid, lithium, or AGM battery chemistry!

Because of their small size, and Drew’s demanding schedule, the team was able to stack two chargers in the rigging compartment, which does two things for the touring pro.  In the event he has to go multiple days without charging, or has a quick pitstop, Drew can replace lost power quickly, sending a dedicated 20 amps to each battery.  In addition, it provides redundancy for Drew while on the road in the rare case of charging trouble, he still has 10 amps per bank.

According to Gill, “I’ve got the perfect charging set up to support these three hundred amp hour Epoch lithium batteries.  They are big capacity batteries and I need a strong punch all the way through the charge to make sure me and my batteries have everything we need.  It is the supplement to my battery system that keeps me on the water longer.”

Pro Charging Systems and Dual Pro Chargers have been powering Gill since he hit the pro circuit in 2024 without fail, and the all-new High Frequency Sportsman Series has the power and reliability he demands heading into 2026.

Whether you are touring pro needing hundreds of amps, or a weekend warrior wanting to maintain a simple 12V system, the Sportsman Series provides dependable and affordable power for a variety of batteries.  With an IP 67 waterproof rating, the Sportsman is suitable for both salt and freshwater environments, and is available in 2, 3, and 4-bank configurations making it a great choice for your all your charging needs.
