Piedmont Bass Classics Results – Falls Lake – August 20, 2011

Scott Smith and Tony Woodard won with 16.32 lbs

The $5,000 Summer Trail qualifier #7 at Falls brought 8 boats to the ramp to try and qualify for the Championship scheduled for August 27th at Jordan Lake. 29 bass were weighed in for a total of 79 pounds. Water temps averaged 83 and air temps ranged from 70 to 88 with winds ranging from light to 10 mph during the storms. Another nice break from the heat we’ve been having! Big fish for the day was 5.99 pounds landed by the team of Drew Smith & Lee Williams.

Tony Woodard & Scott Smith took top honors. They won with 5 bass weighing 16.32 lbs! Most fish were caught on Texas and Carolina Rigs along with crankbaits & jigs in 10 to 14 feet of water.

The final $5,000 Summer Trail tournament will be the ‘Championship’, Saturday, August 27th at Jordan Lake out of Farrington Point Wildlife Ramp. 15 Teams have qualified to fish the Championship and the projected 1st place prize money for the Championship will be  approximately $3,000!!
