Torrance, CA- Sunline is expanding its braided line lineup with the introduction of Kantan Cast Braid X8, a new eight-strand high-performance braid engineered for anglers who rely on their line to withstand the demands of constant casting and power fishing.

Designed to deliver the strength needed for heavy-cover applications while maintaining exceptional casting performance and manageability, Kantan Cast Braid X8 is built for techniques such as pitching, flipping, frogging and other power-fishing applications where smooth casting, abrasion resistance and shock strength are critical.

Featuring a tight eight-strand construction and an ultra-smooth surface, Kantan Cast Braid X8 reduces friction through the rod guides to promote longer, more effortless casts. Its improved body and flexibility provide excellent manageability on baitcasting reels while allowing the line to maintain a controlled feel through repeated casting. The result is a braid designed to remain smooth and manageable even when anglers are making hundreds of casts throughout the day.

“Kantan Cast Braid X8 was designed with the power fisherman in mind,” said  Sunline President Nobuyuki Kajio. “When you’re pitching, flipping or frogging all day, your line has to perform cast after cast. We wanted to create a braid that gives anglers the strength and abrasion resistance they need around heavy cover, while also providing the smooth handling and casting performance that makes a difference over the course of a long day on the water.”

Kantan Cast Braid X8 also features increased abrasion resistance and high shock strength, giving anglers the confidence to make aggressive hooksets and quickly pull fish away from heavy cover. Whether fishing around vegetation, wood or other demanding cover, the braid is built to handle the increased pressure that comes with power fishing.
The line’s Dark Green color provides a natural, low-visibility presentation in a wide range of water conditions, making it an ideal choice for anglers who want the performance of heavy braid without an overly visible line presentation.

From the first cast of the morning to the last fish of the day, it’s designed to provide the strength, durability and consistent handling that power-fishing techniques demand. With its combination of strength, durability, casting efficiency and manageability, Kantan Cast Braid X8 is designed to become the go-to heavy braid in the Sunline lineup.
Kantan Cast Braid X8 will be available in 30-, 40-, 50-, 60- and 65-pound tests on 150-yard and 600-yard spools, all in Dark Green.
