Sunline Pro Beau Schilling Secures 2026 National Walleye Tour Angler Of The Year

Torrance, CA–  Sunline is proud to congratulate Beau Schilling on an incredible 2026 season and his National Walleye Tour Angler of the Year title.  At just 19 years old, Schilling quickly established himself as one of the brightest young talents in competitive walleye fishing. His remarkable consistency throughout the 2026 National Walleye Tour season earned him a place in the record books as the youngest angler in NWT history to claim the prestigious Angler of the Year title.  Schilling finished the season with an incredible 972 points, capping off a championship campaign that was nothing short of impressive.  Throughout the season, Schilling delivered an incredible display of consistency, finishing inside the Top 5 at each of the four regular-season events. His season began with a fourth-place finish on Lake Erie, followed by third-place finishes at Lake Oahe and Green Bay, along with a fifth-place finish at Bay de Noc.

After an impressive regular season, Schilling entered the NWT Championship with the Angler of the Year title within reach. An 18th-place finish in the championship event was enough to secure the title and cap off one of the most remarkable seasons in National Walleye Tour history.

Four Top 5 finishes during the regular season. 972 points. And now, a National Walleye Tour Angler of the Year title.

While his age may make his accomplishments even more impressive, Schilling’s performance throughout the season proved that he belongs among the very best anglers in the sport. From the big waters of Lake Erie to the diverse challenges of Green Bay, he consistently found a way to compete at the highest level.  Schilling’s success on the water is a testament to his dedication, preparation and ability to adapt to changing conditions, qualities that have helped him make a name for himself well beyond his years.  “Beau has had an incredible season, and everyone at Sunline is extremely proud of what he has accomplished,” said Sunline President Noboyuki Kajio. “To compete with the consistency, he showed throughout the year is difficult for any angler, regardless of experience. To do it at 19 years old and become the youngest Angler of the Year in NWT history is truly special. We couldn’t be more excited to support him and watch what the future holds.”

A season that was nothing short of impressive, and a championship run he won’t soon forget. Sunline congratulates Beau Schilling on an unforgettable 2026 season and looks forward to following his continued success in the years ahead.
