Larry Cahan frequents the St Johns River and knows its fish well. He and his dad, David ran the tidal St Johns and caught over 21.5 pounds of bass – good enough to top a field of 151 boats and win $3,000. In so doing, they participated in an event that generated over $35,000 for Haven Hospice in Palatka, Fla.
