Bobby Chambers and Justin McClain Rally to win Classic
November 2nd and 3rd brought the Toms Marine Team Trail Classic take place. Saturdays day 1 took place on Cherokee Lake where Robby Cardwell and Kelley Millsaps caught 17.89-pounds to take the day one lead over Billy Nash and Butch Goddard with 16.78-pounds. In all 7 of the 85 teams fishing the classic had over 15-pounds and all felt they had a chance. Day two on Douglas saw some big changes on the leader board as four different teams caught over 19-pounds and none of them were in the top 15 on day 1. In the end the biggest bag of the tournament of 21.95-pounds was brought to the scales by the team of Bobby Chambers and Justin McClain who had finished day one in 23rd place with 12.97-pounds.Their two day weight of 34.92-pounds gave them the victory! Bobby and Justin won a new 2014 Ranger Z119C with a 200hp Mercury Engine. Danny Garber and Rick Diamond brought 19.71-pounds to the scales for a 2-day total of 33.61-pounds to move from 16th to 2nd and win $3000. Another nice jump was made by Steve and Benny Neal who moved from 18th to 3rd and won $2000 with a total 2-day weight of 32.83-pounds. Bryant and Mark Ailor fnished 4th and won $900 with a total weight of 32.81-pounds. Rounding out the top 5 and winning $800 was the team of Bill Nash and Butch Goddard with 30.81-pounds.
