Fall Team Bass Tournament Trail, knowing that the weather could get bad!

37 keepers were brought to the scales weighing in at a total of 95 pounds! Rick Ohlson & Joey Davis of Garner had 4 bass that weighed 15.70 pounds, winning the 1st place prize of $575, just edging out Jerry Marshburn of Sanford & Allan Parker of Linden, by 4/100’s of a pound! Ohlson & Davis won $575 for 1st, $66 for the 2nd place Big Fish and 1st Place TWT worth $245, for a grand total of $886!

The day started with 59 degrees at blastoff, and stayed there until the weighin. The winds were about 5 to 10 that morning, then around 10am we had about a 2 hour thunderstorm and winds gusting to 25. It finally calmed down a little before weighin. The morning bite was hot for top water baits, but when the wind picked up things slowed down. Most fish were caught in 2 to 20 feet of water.  Top water worked around grass lines seemed to work best and worm rigs kicked in the other bites.  Water temps were around 71 degrees. The Big Fish weighed in at 7.23 pounds!

Our next tournament will be the 2012 JB Custom Rods~Piedmont Bass Classics Fall Team Bass Trail Qualifier #6 at Jordan Lake out of Farrington Point Wildlife Ramp, Sunday, October 14th. This will be our last event at Jordan for 2012. Teams that have 2 qualifiers still have a chance to fish in the Championship if they fish the last 2 events in the Fall Trail as a team. Don’t miss out on this great chance to win some nice paybacks!
