Texas Team Trail heads to Sam Rayburn Lake this Sat to Kick off 2013!

NORMAN, Okla. (February 27, 2013) Â– The Texas Team Trail Presented by CabelaÂ’s will host its first event of the 2013 tournament season on March 2 at Sam Rayburn Lake. The popular Texas lake is situated in east Texas between Beaumont and Longview.

Registration for the event is already underway – anglers can secure an opportunity to pre-fish Friday, March 1, by completing their registration online or via phone prior to midnight on Thursday, February 28. All anglers that pre-register will also be entered into a drawing for a Power-Pole Shallow Water Anchor.

Designed exclusively for team competition, the event offers anglers an unprecedented opportunity in terms of payout, sponsor bonuses and television coverage.

The Sam Rayburn event is the first of four 2013 qualifying events that guarantee a fully-rigged, Triton 18XS powered by an Evinrude 150 HO package as first-place prize. This plus a budget-friendly, $250 entry fee, plus multiple contingency bonus programs and over 100% payback leads to a buzz among TexasÂ’ anglers. Sights are set on the new Texas Team Trail event on Sam Rayburn Lake, as well as the championship tournament in October on Falcon Lake.

On-site registration is set for Friday, March 1, from 5-7 p.m. at Umphrey Pavilion (5438 RR 255 West, Sam Rayburn, TX 75951). We ask that one team member attend. The tournament will launch Saturday, March 2, at safe light from Umphrey Pavilion and weigh-in will begin at the same location at 3 p.m. Anglers with questions or anyone interested in more details on the event are encouraged to visit www.texasteamtrail.com or call 210-788-4143.

Along with title-sponsor Cabela’s, Texas Team Trail has also welcomed Lucas Oil®, Ranger Boats, Stratos Boats, Triton Boats, Evinrude®, Minn Kota®, Talon, RAM Trucks, Lowrance, Power-Pole, Boater’s Insurance®, Amphibia and Artic Ice as official partners.
