There were 30 teams that came out to fish the 7th Anglers Quest event on beautiful Lake Conroe
Sunday, July 28th. There is only one more regular season event before the Championship, and
Remember you must fish at least 4 out of the 8 to qualify for the Championship. So make sure
you look at the year to date standings to see if you can qualify.

The father and son team of Brian Sewell & Chip Sewell came in first place with their 5 fish limit
Weighing 29.76 pounds. Brian & Chip also brought in the biggest bass of the day a nice 8.77 lb’er. They won a total of $2,080.00. Brian reported that they fished out off his Bass Cat powered by Mercury and that they
“made the rounds” fishing brush piles with Crank Baits in approximately 15 feet of water. Way to go guys!
Nothing like being able to spend the day catching fish with your dad !!!

The second place team was none other than our current Anglers of the Year Kyle Nitshke & Jason Bonds.
They fished out of a Ranger powered by Evinrude. They brought a limit of bass to the scales weighing 25.04 lbs., and took home $1,150.00 for their day on the water. Jason reported finding and fishing Mid lake in a small patch of grass that’s approximately 20 to 40 ft. around in 8 to 10 feet of water and that you can’t
see it and swears it’s the only hydrilla in the lake. He said they were flipping 1oz. Strike King Hack Attack Jigs. Jason & Kyle would like to thank Ranger, Evinrude, Power Pole, Costa, Shimano and G Loomis.

Third place was held by the team of Kris Wilson & Harold Moore. They won $700.00 for their 5 fish that weighed 24.94. Harold reported that they fished out of a Phoenix boat with a Mercury motor. He said that
They fished all over the lake in 19-21 ft. of water catching them on 6th Sense Crank Baits and 6th Sense
Plastics on rigs. They would like to thank 6th Sense, Phoenix Boats and Mercury for their support.

Jason McClure & Colby Bryant came in fourth place with their 5 fish limit tipping the scales for 23.42 lbs.
They won $450.00 for their 4th place finish. Colby reported fishing out of his Phoenix powered by a Mercury
Motor. He says the fished all over the lake with Jigging Spoons in 20 to 25 feet of water. They would like to give a shout out to Clays Glass Service, Santone Lures and Impulse Rods for all their support.

We will be back at Stowaway Marina on August 11th for the final regular season Team event and it ought to
be an interesting one. I t will determine which team will be Anglers of the Year for 2020. It’s a very close race right now and the top five teams as of now are all within less that 20 pounds. So, like I said it ought
to be interesting. Ya’ll come root for your favorite team !!!
