Record Spot Caught on Cypress Springs Lake in Texas Bass Couples East Region-Full Results here!
Be sure and check out the new Lake Cypress Spring lake record Spotted Bass caught by Jason Robertson. Jason caught a great Spotted Bass that broke the current lake record. His Spotted Bass weighted 3.40# on my scale and ended up at 3.30# on certified scales. She was 17# long and had a 13.5″ girth. Congratulations to Jason on the new Lake Record Spotted Bass.
Topping the competition this month is the team of Joe & Suzie Moss from Palestine. Joe & Suzie bought a fine limit of bass to the scales weighing 20.18#. Great fishing in post cold front conditions!
Our second place team this month is Mike Davis & Debbie Mathis from Diana. Mike & Debbie had a great limit of bass weighing 16.49#. Debbie also won Ladies Big Bass honors with a fine fishing weighing 3.75#. Way to go you two, that’s some good team work right there.
Third place honors go to Michael & Destiny Moss from Palestine. Michael & Destiny have been doing some fantastic fishing the last few months. They caught a nice limit hitting the scales at 15.41#.
In fourth place is Team Stroman from Mt. Vernon. Mike & Sharon put together a nice pattern that got them a nice limit weighing 15.19#Good fishing you two!
Rounding out the top 5 this month is the team of Robert & Melissa Kilgore from Longview. Robert & Melissa brought a nice limit to the scales weighing 14.31#.
Our “first place out of the money” winners this month goes to Bill & Sally Butts from Longview. Bill & Sally had a limit weighing 14.1#. They were awarded the Santone Lures $50.00 gift certificate.
2nd place out of the money goes to Marc & Kelly Mayo from Tyler. Marc & Kelly weighed in a limit @ 13.81# and received a Dobyns Rods gift certificate.
Big Bass honors went to Tommie Deese this month with a bass weighing 5.91#.
We had a total of 107 bass weighed in for a total weight of 278.33#. That’s a 2.60# average per bass which isn’t too bad considering the weather conditions. Congratulations to everyone!
We have a tight race underway for Team Of The Year Honors, with the top 4 teams running within a few points of each other. Should be an interesting race to the finish this year.

It’s hard to believe that the tournament season is 1/2 over. Seems like time is flying by this year. Next months tournament will be held on beautiful Lake ‘O’ the Pines. Tournament Headquarters will be at Johnson Creek Park. I will let everyone know where and when registration & live well checks will be.
Thanks to all the couples fishing with us this year. 2014 is a record breaking year for us. We now currently have 40 teams signed up with the East Region and we are averaging a little over 30 teams fishing each tournament so far this year. Thanks again for the support!
