Piedmont Bass Classics Results – Jordan Lake – March 27, 2011

Tony Fofi and Dave Murdock of Fayetteville, braved the cold and won the tournament! It was 38 degrees when we arrived that morning and 38 degrees when we left that afternoon! The morning drizzel finally quit but it stayed 38 degrees, or less, all day! Man it was tough. Water temps averaged 53 to 56 and the wind blew steadily 15 to 18 mph all day. For our 3rd open of 2011, we had a 12 boats show up to brave the weather at Jordan Lake.  Fofi and Murdock brought 5 bass to the scales weighing 21.91 pounds, including their big fish winner that weighed in at 7.71 pounds. They also won the TWT, giving them a total of $933 for the day.  I want to thank all of our anglers and our sponsors for supporting this trail!

Most of the bass caught today were on jerk baits and Rat-L-Traps. 33 bass were weighed in totalling 118 pounds. All fish were released alive!

The next tournament will be at Falls Lake on Saturday, April 2nd out of Ledge Rock Wildlife ramp. This event is the 3rd in a series of 7 qualifying tournaments for the ‘Piedmont Bass Classics $5,000 Bass Tournament Trail’.  If you want to fish in the Championship, June 18th, and have not fished as of now, you must fish as a team in the next and final 5 qualifying events. I hope to see all of you on the 2nd!
