The 1^st 2014 CATT Santee Cooper Qualifier saw 32 teams spread out over Lake Marion and Lake Moultrie chasing the magic 5. If you’ve fished Santee Cooper before this is the beginning of some of the best fishing in the South East and it’s going to get better in the next few weeks!

Brett Mitchell, Alx Rods Pro Staffer evidently found the right 5 as he weighed in a limit of Santee Hawgs at 32.40 lbs! His BF weighed 7.63 lbs and was the 2^nd BF of the tourney plus Brett took home the BONUS $. All total he earned $1,176.00!

Brian Cook and Steve Harmon finished 2^nd with another great limit at 23.95lbs and took home $375.00!

3^rd went to Wayne Clifton and Kyle Welch with 5 bass weighing 23.37 lbs and they received $275.00.

Coming in 4^th were Clay Lowder and Jon Smoak with 5 bass weighing 23.18 lbs and they took home $150.00.

Also coming in 5^th Zach Peavy and Paul Geddings with another good limit of Santee bass weighing 22.39 lbs and they claimed $150.00.

Michael Earnhardt and Bruce Peavy finished 6^th with 21.44 lbs and also weighed the 1^st BF at 8.53 lbs. All total they took home $339.00! Remember guys the 1^st BF winner at the Santee Final will take home a Lew’s Baitcast Reel!

Henry McFadden and Jeff Cantey were the 7^th Place team and took $100.00 with 5 bass weighing 21.37 lbs.

Next up is March 8^th at Alex Harvin Landing!

The week of the Final we will have a get together with some food and hold a Calcutta! Keep checking back for info!
