Jimmy Johnson of Gando, Texas was shot and killed by 17 year old Shaun Brown outside a Mississippi hotel room prior to the start of the Bassmaster Central Open on Ross Barnett Reservoir last month. Brown is charged with capital murder.

Meanwhile, in East Texas anglers have organized a tournament to support Johnson’s family.

They will take to the waters of Sam Rayburn Reservoir on Saturday, November 16th out of Jackson Hill Marina in Broaddus, Texas.

Entry fees: $50 per team or $25 per individual. Registration begins at 5 a.m. Weigh in at 3 p.m.
