From the desk of Ken Duke

Davenport, Fla. – Fish Insider LLC believes fishing makes our world a better place. To that end, Fish Insider offers a print and digital magazine, a website (fishinsider.com), an e-newsletter, consulting services, and more.

Fishing industry veteran Ken Duke will serve as editor in chief of Fish Insider. Duke began writing for national outdoor magazines as a teenager. For the past nine years, he served as managing editor of Fishing Tackle Retailer. For a decade before that, he was senior editor of B.A.S.S. Publications. In addition to hundreds of articles published in virtually every fishing magazine and on dozens of websites, Duke is a featured expert in the upcoming documentary film series “The History of Sportfishing.”

“Fish Insider is focused on helping our industry do better business,” Duke says. “If we do that, we grow the sport and the market. It’s been a privilege to work in this industry for the past several decades and to consult with many of the wonderful people in it. Fish Insider is the platform and the tool set I’ve always wanted to help the companies that make our sport great — large and small. Today’s kitchen table operation can be tomorrow’s multinational manufacturer with the right advice and strategy.”

To that end, Fish Insider will offer a print magazine — Fish Insider — that’s free to dealers, wholesalers, distributors, and industry professionals, as well as an e-newsletter — “Fish Insider News” (FIN) — and a variety of consulting services that run the gamut from design to manufacturing to media and much more, to fit any situation.

Travis Loyd is the founder of Fish Insider. He shares Duke’s passion for fishing and believes that a strong fishing industry makes for a better America.

“To anyone interested in improving their industry position and strengthening our sport,” Loyd says, “Fish Insider is ready to help. Whether you’re a manufacturer, a dealer, a wholesaler, a professional angler, or you’re simply looking to find your own path in the industry, we have answers, solutions, and connections.”

Duke, Loyd, and other representatives of Fish Insider will be attending ICAST, July 11-14, in Orlando. If you’d like to meet, please email Duke at [email protected]
