The second tournament for White Pine Marine Trail was Saturday April 23rd on Douglas Lake. We had another good turnout with 100 boats. The day was a sunny day with temps reaching near 80 degrees. The fishing was as good as the weather with fish in all stages of the spawn they were caught shallow and deep. The team of Bobby Ferguson and Marty Stewart brought to the scales 23.48 pounds to win and they also had big largemouth for tourney of 6.95lb. This veteran team was quoted that they fished post spawn deep fish. The win, big fish, and highest Lowrance money netted them $3800.00 dollars. We look forward to our next event which is on Cherokee lake at the Dam May 21st blast off will be 6:30 am. You may sign up at White Pine Marine that entire week and parking will be tight at the ramp.
