60 teams showed up for the 1st qualifying tournament of the 2013 Boats Unlimited NC Team Tournament Bass ‪Trail. The weather man hit it just about on the nose with the forecast. 42 degrees in the morning and about 38

‪for the rest of the day with cold rain turning to big snowflakes with winds 5 to 10 mph. It was a very tough day ‪for these determined anglers! Turnout would have been more if the weather had been nicer.

 

‪Jaime Fajardo & Phillip Eakes took 1st place honors with 4 bass weighing 24.15 lbs. They won the 1st place money & the Tournament Within A Tournament for a total of $2,447 plus the BOATS UNLIMITED NC 1st

‪place $1,000 bonus for a grand total of $3,447. Upon verification, they will also receive the Stratos 2X bonus, $3,447, bringing their total winnings to a whopping $6,894 !! Billy & Stump Bledsoe won 2nd place, 1st Place ‪Big Fish and 2nd place TWT for a grand total of $1,977.

 

‪Only 92 fish were weighed in for a total weight of 258 pounds. Most fish were caught from 3 to 15 feet of water on a variety of baits including jerk baits, Senkos, big plastic worms, jigs & crankbaits for the most part. The ‪hot baits for the day reported to be crankbaits! Water temps were around 48 degrees. I want to thank all the ‪anglers that participated and that support this trail.
