On an overcast day at Clarks Hill Lake, the 2nd Annual Kicks 99 Hooked on Country Bass Tournament, presented by Columbia County and Wildwood Park, blasted off 256 boaters all in hopes of driving home with the Guaranteed $15,000 1st place prize. After the final call at Weigh-in, Bart Blackburn and Glenn Gentry weighed in 24.76 Lbs and took home the $15,000 1st place prize. Their weight was impressive, especially on this Lake where the past 3-4 years leading into this spring, had been very, very un Clarks Hill like. 12-15lbs was winning many tournaments during that time span, so to see the multiple limits and solid stringers brought to the scales was more than encouraging. 27 bags were better than 14 Lbs, with 14 bags over 16! Go ahead and mark this one down for 2014, as there aren’t many tournaments anywhere in the country with this type of payback on such a low entry fee.
