Ardent offer 3 new models designed and tested by the best anglers on tour – the Apex line.

According to Ryan Hohl of Ardent the company has, “once again introduced a fishing reel innovation.”

He refers to the new Apex line of extremely light weight, low profile reels and says they offer the greatest casting distance and smoothness in the lightest package possible for tournament tough, high performance baitcasters.

“All Apex models feature high strength aluminum frames, combined with a deep V 6061 T6 machined aluminum spool, and 270 degree mag brake system with external adjustment,” says Hohl.

The Apex Elite features 12+1 stainless steel ball bearings, carbon fiber swept back handle, EVA grip knobs on handle, swept back forged aluminum star drag, and weighs 5.9oz. It will retail for $149.99 and is available in 6.5:1 gear ratio in both left and right hand retrieve.

The Apex Pro features 10+1 stainless steel ball bearings, swept back forged aluminum handle, and a swept back forged aluminum star drag. Retail on the Pro will be $129.99 and it is available in 7.3:1 gear ratio, right hand retrieve only.

The Apex Tournament features 8+1 stainless steel ball bearings, swept back forged aluminum star drag, and swept back forged aluminum handle. Retail on the Tournament is $99.99. Apex Tournament is available in 6.5:1 gear ratio and in right hand retrieve only.
