Although the weights were strong, they were not crazy like some afternoons we’ve seen at Santee when you have 169 teams. But one thing was a little crazy–two teams went home with $10,000 each and folks, that just doesn’t happen in many team trails around the country today. Michael Murphy and Kevin Sanders won the $10,000 1st place prize with 5 fish for 26.040 while 2nd was just slightly behind with Kenny Brice and Kenny Fenters with 25.68. Brice and Fenters took home $5000 for 2nd, but as the highest finishing Skeeter/Yamaha team they earned an additional $5000 to bring their eye-popping total to $10,000 as well.
