KISSIMMEE, Fla. (Jan. 28, 2019) – When the first day of Major League Fishing’s (MLF) new Bass Pro Tour concludes, the all-new Bass Pro Tour Post-Game Show presented by Berkley will begin when MLF’s Aly Atkins and Steven “Lurch” Scott recap the day’s activity live from the set with an interactive show featuring all 40 of the day’s anglers.
The Bass Pro Tour’s inaugural event, which kicks off tomorrow, January 29, on Florida’s Kissimmee Chain of Lakes, will begin with a ceremonial first cast at 7 a.m. ET, and wrap up with the all new post-game show featuring a drive-through interview with anglers using their boats and rigs as the stage.
“It has been 20 years since I first picked up a microphone to inform and entertain a live audience,” Scott said. “There’s something special about a crowd feeding off your energy as you feed off theirs, and in the process the fans feel personally connected to the superstars. It’s what I live for.”
Whether fans attend in person or tune in to watch the coverage via MLF NOW!, the free live stream available on the all-new MajorLeagueFishing.com, they will be treated to a daily recap from Atkins and Scott as they interview each of the anglers that competed on the water that day. The show will begin at 5 p.m. ET and air for approximately two hours.
“We are unbelievably excited to have Steven Scott in this role as MC because his personality is built for live performance. He’s an incredible showman and for the first time he’s going to be able to do what he really loves and interact with both anglers and fans,” said Randy White, MLF’s Vice President for Broadcast Production.
Although the live stream will be available beginning at 10 a.m. ET each competition day and will bring fans on-the-water action, the ultimate fan experience will come to those able to attend the MLF Post-Game Show on location.
MLF uses a catch-weigh-immediate-release format on the water, so the closing event will be full of how-they-caught-them information and behind the scenes access to the pros like the public has never seen before in a professional fishing livestream.
The post-game activities start with a literal parade consisting of each angler’s tow vehicle and boat. The final 10 to come through will be the Top 10 anglers of the day, in order, and their boats will become the stages for each interview.
Scott will emcee the event each day, bringing his vast knowledge of the anglers and the tournament format from his years with the league.
As the anglers talk about the day, jumbo screens will show photos and video from on-the-water to support the in-depth news being shared.

Atkins will be positioned behind the scenes, where the anglers are staging and prepping before entry. Many MLF fans will likely recognize Atkins from her MLF news coverage, and some might catch her married name change from Akers to Atkins. She, too, has a knack for getting anglers to tell it like it is.
“I’m thrilled to be able to continue to show fans the behind the scenes elements that make major league Fishing so unique,” said Atkins. “Fans are going to have a level of access they’ve never seen before and see the anglers in an entirely new light.”
The public is also invited to attend the Bass Pro Tour Midway each day of the competition, featuring a long list of activities ranging from boat demo rides to sponsors’ interactive product demonstrations. The location of the MLF Midway is the Lake Toho Marina – 69 Lakeview Drive, Kissimmee. Midway hours are 9:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. daily with the majority of activations taking place over the weekend.
