205 Teams showed up to a 2 hour Fog delay Sat am on Lake Norman after a week of horrific weather hit the area. This 28th year represents one of the longest running charity events in the country and the outstanding turnout despite the weather and multiple other HUGE Tournaments in the region proved that once again. This year turned out to be one of the tightest and most competitive finishes in the history of the Tournament. While Hamrick and Pope won with 17.71 Lbs, Thomas Hardwick and Tommy Williams finished 2nd with 17.66 while Jeff and KJ Queen fishined 3rd with 17.60!!! I don’t know that we’ve ever seen a finish that tight! This is the 3rd time that Scott and Roger have won this event and they won it on the last cast of the day to haul in a 4.75 Lb kicker and ride home with a $35,000 Ranger/Evinrude Boat pkg!
