Registration is Now Open for the Cabela’s Collegiate Big Bass Bash presented by Berkley on Kentucky Lake

Starting November 14th, collegiate anglers nationwide will be able to register for the Cabela’s Collegiate Big Bass Bash presented by Berkley. The event, hosted by Henry County, will include a banquet in Paris, Tennessee the night before the event, as well as two days of fishing on Kentucky Lake. The launch and all weigh-in activities will take place at Paris Landing Tennessee on March 9th-11th.   This event will also be televised on several national networks as part of the largest ever collegiate bass fishing television series.

This will be the second stop of the 2018 Cabela’s Collegiate Bass Fishing Series.  It’s also historically one of the biggest fields in college fishing with anglers from all over the nation choosing to spend spring break on Kentucky Lake.  Last year, 519 anglers from 84 schools competed in what was the biggest field to-date since the birth of the event. The Cabela’s Collegiate Big Bass Bash presented by Berkley offers every competitor the chance to win numerous prizes, thanks to eight separate weigh-ins throughout the event. Each separate weigh-in will pay down to ten places, as well as a daily and overall big bass prize.

“This is one of the most enjoyable and biggest collegiate events of the season,” said the Director of the Collegiate Series and President of CarecoTV, Wade Middleton. “It’s open to all collegiate bass fishing clubs, counts double towards Cabela’s School of Year presented by Abu Garcia points and a single cast can win someone a prize! Last year, the amount of prizes awarded at this event exceeded $25,000 and it took a bass weighing over eight pounds to win at this event!”
