The $5,000 Summer Trail qualifier #6 at Jordan brought 11 boats to the ramp to try and qualify for the Championship scheduled for August 27th at Jordan Lake. Being an open event also, several teams showed up just to compete and have fun. It was a nice day with the exception of a few downpours and dangerous lightning! 37 bass were weighed in for a total of 126 pounds. Water temps averaged 85 and air temps ranged from 70 to 88 with winds ranging from light to 15 mph during the storms. Another nice break from the heat we’ve been having! Big fish for the day was 5.83 pounds landed by Dennis Reedy. Jordan is really producing some good bass this year, so far.

Dennis Reedy, fishing without his regular partner, took top honors. He won with 5 bass weighing 26.65 lbs! Most fish were caught on Texas and Carolina Rigs along with crankbaits & jigs in 8 to 10 feet of water.

The final $5,000 Summer Trail qualifier #7 will be Saturday, August 20th at Falls Lake out of Ledge Rock Wildlife Ramp. Teams must fish 4 of the 7 qualifiers to fish the Championship August 27th, so those that have fished only 3 events still have a chance to fish the Championship if they fish the last one as a team.
