Marcus Sykora wins BFL All American on Wilson

Marcus Sykora absolutely dominated the field on the first 2 days of the BFL All American on Wilson Lake. He fished a quarter-mile below Wheeler Dam and caught multiple 5-pounders on crankbaits at one magic spot.

He started with a limit that weighed 26 pounds, 11 ounces. He followed with a sack that went 27-4. He entered the final round with a lead of over 14 pounds. That’s good for him because today his limit weighed 12-5. It was enough to hold off a hard-charging Jayme Rampey who had 25-14 today for a total weight of 61-12.

Sykora won with a total weight of 66-4.

In addition to the $101,000 prize, Sykora won an invitation to fish the Forrest Wood Cup in August on Lake Murray.

On the co-angler side, Justin Sward of Birmingham, Ala. brought a whopping 23 pounds, 9 ounces to the scale and took the title. His total weight of 57-15 was more than 5 pounds better than that of runner-up Bryan Cothran who led on Day 2 and finished with a total of 52-13.
