Fish the Rat-L-Trap Open on Lake Toho!

Should be a busy blast off at the Rat-L-Trap Open on Toho June 29th. photo by Vance McCullough

Lake Toho has a well-deserved reputation as a trophy bass factory and a top tournament lake. Right now the water is down in preparation for the upcoming hurricane season. That means tons of bass are staging along the deep edges of whatever vegetation they prefer, offshore hydrilla being chief among these.

That puts fish in a prime position to strike lipless crankbaits.

That puts anglers in a prime position to take advantage of an opportunity to fish the Rat-L-Trap Open on the famous lake Sunday, June 29th.

Entry fee is only $100 and payback is 100% to 1 out of each 5 boats. First place is worth a projected $3,000, based on 150 entries. Big bass side pot is $20.

There will be on-site registration from 3-6 P.M. and a 6 P.M. pre-tournament meeting at Big Toho Marina on Saturday, the 28th.
