Day 3 Toyota Texas Bass Classic News and Notes

With such tremendous weights these first 2 days, the big question on Day 3 and the final day of the TTBC is can the top 10 anglers that made the cut go back out and haul in 35+ Lbs? Well, according to reports, they already have! Here are some notes I’ve come accross while being out here:

-Lake Fork is widely regarding as one of the top 3 fisheries in the state, and thats saying something when you’re talking about the state of Texas!

-Lake Fork is 27,000 acres, so just a tad smaller than Lake Norman

-there is a 16-24 inch slot limit on this lake, however, these pro’s are allowed to catch a fish within that slot and count it, but then immediately throw back in. In most tournaments with slot limits (as you all know), you can’t count any fish caught within that specific slot limit.

-I have never seen so many 5 Lb fish come in here that basically means you are out of the running…………..now think about that for a minute!

-The winds are HOWLING again today-probably in the 20-25 kt range easy………………

-Weigh-in starts at 4pm CST and the winning angler goes home with 150k worth of cash and prizes.

-All proceeds from this tournament go to the Texas Parks and Wildlife Commission

We will take some pics and video at the weigh-in soon………….here is a pic from last nights crowd at the weigh-in….probably at least 10,000 and today will be the same.
